Rub a dub dub,
Three Scott’s in a tub,
And who do you think they be?
The mother, the dad,
And the daughter they had.
Drunk on mojitos, all three!

Happy trails to you, until we meet again.
Happy trails to you, keep smilin’ until then.
Who cares about the clouds when we’re together?
Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.
Happy trails to you, ’till we meet again.
Some trails are happy ones,
Others are blue.
It’s the way you ride the trail that counts,
Here’s a happy one for you.
Happy trails to you, until we meet again.
Happy trails to you, keep smilin’ until then.
Who cares about the clouds when we’re together?
Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.
Happy trails to you, ’till we meet again.

5) Be on time: Check!
4) Try to see the positive side of EVERY situation: Check!
3) Make more time for myself! Check! Check! And double check!
2) Stay in touch! Triple check!
1) Learn to let it go! Holy Moley, this one’s going to be difficult. I try, I try, I try! But life has decided to challenge me lately. It’s as if some higher power thought it would be funny to throw just one more exam my way…

5) Be on time! Please disregard date of post.
4) Try to see the positive side of EVERY situation! eg-”NOT writing consistently on my website only gives me MORE to write about”
3) Make more time for myself! It’s ok to be a little bit selfish! I figure in the end it will help me to find my “happier” self. Carly is not fun to be around when she’s crabby.
2) Stay in touch! This applies to friends, family, and even my website. This disappearing act of mine will hopefully, well…disappear (oooh, that’s deep). AND FINALLY the big number…
1) Learn to let it go! Too much time in my life is dedicated to holding on to anger, sadness, jealousy, loneliness, disappointment, and fear. And what would that accomplish were I to die tomorrow? By freeing up wasted energy, I am sure to have a much happier and healthier 2009!

Oops! That should just about sum it up for you! But, I’m back. Slowly, but surely… It’s been a busy month, mostly due to the fact that I am a horrible procrastinator. I never learn. However, I am happy to report that all the stress, emotions, and last-minute cramming were worth it (at least for me, maybe not for Bouke- ha ha). The first round of exams were unbelievably successful! Hey, I’m tooting my own horn! Feels great! Old dogs CAN learn new tricks!
Now I’m back with new stories and odd ramblings, hopefully of interest to somebody other than myself. But, you’ll have to wait, eager reader of mine. Tonight, I’m pooped. Tot zo!

Sometimes the day is not as beautiful if you do not have somebody to share it with. What a lovely, crisp, fall day in the westerpark, and not a soul in sight!

Welcome to my website, Mom & Pops! If you’re reading this, you’ve succeeded (and I’m suprised)! Enjoy the pictures that I have so far.

And he’s gone! Off on his first trip to Japan…exciting! Since this website was his creation, today I dedicate this daily tidbit to Bouke. Sayonara and Aishiteru.

It only took me this long to finally get my own website! And man, was that a lot of work! Do you know how hard it is to find someone who will make a website for you, free of charge? Yeah, I found out the hard way that you have to date them first. Then you have to complain a lot about a lack of communication with your family and how much you miss them. And THEN you have to wait for your birthday! Just kidding…. this website was lovingly made for me by Bouke Van Veen, my favorite person on earth – sorry mom and dad. So now it is MY duty to maintain the site, and let all of you know what is going on in my life. My first 24 hours as a 30-something:
